Hello!

Lately, my function key is not working no more on my MSI CR460. So, I couldn't connect to internet. Is there any other way to turn wireless on without pressing Function key and F8 on MSI CR460 laptop?

Looking forward to your kind helps.

That's standard on most modern laptops.

If it's in warranty, they should replace the keyboard.

You could also get a USB WiFi adapter.

Clearing the CMOS might reset the WiFi to on, but I'm not sure. Remove the BIOS backup battery (not the large laptop battery; this is a coin cell) for ~15 minutes.

There might be a button on the side of your laptop with a small switch and a wireless logo. If there is one you could use that.

Hope this helps :)

Ahh .... but how is the relationship 'tween removing BIOS backup battery and turning wireless on, SS?
U can name me Stupidity Demon after getting my wireless on :D Thanks for ur prompt answers so far.

The switch on the keyboard is momentary; it cannot store state physically. So somewhere else in the machine there's a record of whether the WiFi is meant to be ON or OFF. I don't think this is in the OS or drivers (because they try to keep it away from anything that could be changed by malware), but it might be part of the BIOS.

It's a wild guess that may or may not work.
