Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade my PC, and finding compatible ram is a major headache with this board. I'm currently using a single 2gb DDR2 stick. The first 8gb kit was one a friend had spare, but it didn't work. So then going off this site:

http://www.memoryc.com/kingston-configurator.html

I found two (discontinued) options for 2x4gb kits, KVR1066D3N7K2/8G + KVR1333D3N9K2/8G, both of which have been replaced by the one I bought - KVR13N9S8K2/8. This doesn't work though, I just get continuous beeps with brief pauses when I turn it on.

Is there any readily available memory that can be guaranteed to work with my board that anyone knows of? I hope to buy it from these guys, as they are local and have good service:

This is your motherboards support page.
First find out what revision your motherboard is. 1.3, 1.4 or 2.0 and click that at the top left of page.
Under support and downloads you will find the memory support list. Most are 1 or 2 gig sticks with a couple of 4 gig sticks.
If you are running 32bit windows installing more than 4gigs of memory is a waste .Windows 32 bit can only address a maximum of 4 gigs. After you remove reserved memory addresses for motherboard components you will be down to 3.25gigs or so of usable memory.

You're telling that you use ddr2 and are linking ddr3 sets?
What do you really use?

Or do this,

Download the next program,
http://www.hwinfo.com/download32.html
open it,click run, close the top window which is the system summary, click save report at the left top,in the next window at the bottom check=dot "short text report" after that next, you'll get to see what is in your pc,copy that by clicking "copy to clipboard" and right click and paste in you next post.

NVM,

you can't mix ddr2 and ddr3 on a motherboard like that.Either get a second ddr2 module to use with the one you already have or take it out and replace with a set of ddr3 ram.

Hi guys.
I'm currently using a single DDR2 2gb stick, trying to upgrade to DDR3 dual channel.

The pc works fine with the old memory, and has been for the last couple of years. Since I've upgraded some of the other components, I'm trying to get compatible ram for increased performance (the board has 2 slots for each). I have only tried one or the other at one time, but the DDR3 I have tried doesn't work. Since I can't find any KVR1066D3N7K2/8G or KVR1333D3N9K2/8G, I tried the replacement (KVR13N9S8K2/8), but without success.

This is exactly what I'm trying to do
