With the help of some guys on another thread I have come up with a few builds and I am not sure which to go with. I will be using the PC for light gaming and media, and later on recording and mixing music(for fun, not professionally).

I am indecisive and want to make sure I have a really good build for my budget.

Here are the builds:

Give me feedback and if you think I should make any tweaks let me know.
Thanks.

Thank you.
The Radeon R9 270 seems to be the better choice from reviews and comparisons that I read.
I did pick a different motherboard from the one you suggested.

The price difference isn't much and within my budget.
What do you think? Good or not?

That z97 board is pointless as it is designed for overclocking and you cannot overclock that locked i5.

I would also change that EVGA PSU. EVGA make some great units, but that is not one of them. I recommend an Antec, XFX, Seasonic instead for better quality and reliability.

^ Yep. But if it's not much more expensive, I suppose it doesn't matter.
That PSU is fine, you are right though. It's not one of their best units, but it certainly isn't bad.
an XFX 550W would be a better choice if you can afford it, though. :)

Okay I will look into a different motherboard but first the PSU.

What do you think about these?

Corsair
CX500M vs

Corsair
CS550M vs

Antec
BP550 Plus vs

XFX
P1-550S-XXB9

Thanks.

Well I'm still pretty undecided about the motherboard but since I'm buying each part separately and at different times(as soon as I've saved enough for each particular part) I have time to choose which motherboard to go with.

Thanks for your help. I'm really happy with the build.
