Hi,
My uncle gave me an external harddrive that stopped working when connected via USB. So I opened the casing, took out the drive and hooked it up to an old XP box we have upstairs. When booting the BIOS detects the hdd, so did xp but I can't access the drive through "my computer".
I went into Disk Management to see if the disk showed up, it did but it didn't have a name appointed to it, so that made sense why I couldn't find it in win explorer. I looked around but couldn't find any option saying "change drive letter"...
Another thing it says (see image) (in Dutch, sorry for that..) "Capacity: 298.09 GB" "Free Room: 298.09 GB"..
Unless my uncle screwed up, there should be data on this thing?
The original drive was a Toshiba: http://icecat.us/en/p/toshiba/px1267e-1g32/external-hard-drives-4026203463479-320GB+External+USB+HDD-485434.html
Any help? ^^
Yes these are taken with my phone.. Had no USB around and machine isn't connected to our LAN.
