Shall I put 4G 1333 on top of 8Gb 2133 for total 12Gb ram?

I'm using 2x4gb Gskill 2133 (CL11) , I also have 2x2gb older 1333 ram from early build. I'm thinking if it's a good idea to put them all in to make 12Gb.
I'm not sure if it's a big impact on the ram speed, or if the extra 4gb will help in overall performance...
I use mainly for gaming, watching movies(no 4k, max is HD) and web browsing. Rarely do real multi tasks (just leave media player on while web browsing, or gaming with background download)

I'm fairly sure it would work fine (and if not you could just yank them back out), but the modules have to be set to the same frequency and that DDR3-1333 kit may not overclock very well. If its a choice between 8 GB @ 2133 MHz and 12 GB @ 1333 MHz, I think the former is much preferable.

That's what I'm saying.. you're not running out of RAM doing the things you listed, so there won't be an improvement with an extra 4 GB. You'd be giving up the 2133 MHz speed for 4 GB of capacity that you don't need.
