Should I get a second module or get a whole new set of RAM?

I currently have 4GB Corsair DDR3 XMS 1333Mhz RAM and I want to raise it up to 8GB.

Would I be better off buying a second 4GB or just getting a whole new dual channel set of RAM?

depends if you want to spend more for ram, I would personally buy a 2x4GB 1600Mhz ram kit if your system supports that (which it should), and not use your current one. Another module of similar nature (Speed, voltage ect..) would be a good match with your current but it's up to you if you think spending the extra is worthwhile for you.

I can get 2x4gb G.Skill Ripjaws x for less than it costs for most 1333Mhz RAM. I was just wondering if 1333+ would actually improve performance so much to actually get more expensive RAM
