I've had my PC for almost a year now, this is the first summer I've had it as I bought it in September, and so naturally I'm finding that its running hotter and louder.
However my case fans (Mars ATX Midi Tower) are running extremely loud, people have said it sounds like a plane taking off in my room.. and that it distracts them a lot.
Since I'm happy with everything else about the case, do you think I should just replace the 1 fan that is making all the noise?
If so do you know what size fan I would need for that fitting?

Solution
Most likely that ir a 120mm fan but they come in std size so just measure it. Swapping it out is the solution.

Edit; just found info on the case and it is an 80mm fan which explains the noise since they rotate fast. I would just unplug it and have 120mm intake front and 120mm exhaust back.

Hello man

Looks like an 80MM fan to me. I had a case kind of like this back when I used LGA775. If you want to keep that side intake, opt for a lower RPM fan. Sure, it will probably move less air, but that case it pretty airflow challenged as it is, so something will be better than nothing.

Ok, thanks for your help, I've decided to unplug that fan and then put this one in as a rear exhaust fan.

Does that sound good? :ange:
