    MSI ....nuthin else even comes close

    You a bit late to steal it tho.... until Sunday it was $600 on newegg

    But don't sweat it, it's been $600 every other week on newegg for about 3 months

    It's the quietest by a long shot
    Highly overclockable
    Great Cooler
    It's just 10.5" long
    It has EK Water Blocks available
    It's freakin $600 ! :) (well on alternate weeks)

    Of course the EVGA Classified is in a whole other category ..... but after the EVGA SC I'd put at the very bottom of the list.
  2. They are all good but I personally would favor EVGA for their excellent customer support.
  3. The PNY and EVGA use the stock cooler

    The ZOTAC and Gigabyte one will be much bigger

    The ZOTAC card is overclocked, I have a similar heatsink on my 670 AMP! card. No Issues with my ZOTAC. But it is a big card
  4. I heard a lot of bad vibe about Gigabyte.
  5. The main issue w/ the Giga is it's loud

    MSI = 30 dbA
    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_780_Ti_Gaming/23.html

    Asus = 39 dbA (almost twice as loud)
    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_780_Ti_Direct_Cu_II_OC/23.html

    EVGA = 35 dbA
    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_780_Ti_Direct_Cu_II_OC/23.html

    Gigabyte = 38 dbA*

    TPU didn't review the Giga 780 Ti but they did do the 780 which has the same cooler.

    Overclocking is optional and really depends on your resolution if you need to overclock. I personally have never had to overclock a high end card since we are only talking 2-5fps difference and everything is already playable.

    Dunno where ya got that idea..... MSI is the author of the premier GPU overclocking software out there (MSI Afterburner) and it works fine with the MSI 780 Ti. I have twin 780s w/ 26% OCs on the Core Clock (39% on Boost Clock) and 21% on memory.

    Actually, a person called rivatuner collaborated with msi to make it, most of the work was down to this person, as for the best 780 ti model, it's the asus matrix platinum or the kingpin, the mis model I would say is 6th or 7th in the 780 ti rankings
  10. That is simply not correct.

    A person named Alexey Nicolaychuk wrote a program for the "Riva TNT" Graphics Chip that was manufactured by Nvidia back in 1998. The program was intended to "Tune Riva" graphics cards, hence the name Riva Tuner.

    The program has been expanded and modified thu today

    EVGA has claimed that they invented it which is a load of hooey.

    MSI is the universally recognized OC utility of choice and is commonly used by users on cards from Asus, EVGA etc despite their offering and inclusion of their own versions of Asus TweakIt and EVGA PrecisionX

    I'm still confused, I thought rivatuner was a programmer or modder?
  12. Thanks for the chuckle.....say Hullo to Mr. Tuner for me....only his friends call him Riva :)

    One of the advantages of being an old fart .... I remember being excited when the utility came out

    Guru3D is one of the few "officially sanctoined" sources for the RivaTuner program and has long served as MSI's beta site where users d/l and discuss each MSI Afterburner Beta release
