Will that build be ok for playing games like Skyrim + Mods ( ENB, HD Textures)

I already have an OS and Monitor

1366x768 as of now, but I might buy a new 1080p monitor

I can spend $1000(ish)

I'm also ok with overclocking (I'm actually a fan of it, lol)

What is your budget OP? As in what is the upper limit of what you are willing to spend - and what you'd *like* to spend?

What resolution is your monitor?

Keep in mind you are going to want at least a terabyte (preferably more) on a second hard disk to store everything else (120gb is going to vanish).

If you are price constrained, I'd get some cheaper ram and a better card. I tend to favour Nvidia, but AMD are fantastic for lower prices.

To the answer above I'd add that Corsair power supplies are also decent.

Better mobo, SSD, Cooler, GPU, Case, PSU

The PSU in your original build was junk, definitely do not get that one.

I believe that skyrim runs better on Intel since it only utilizes 2 or 4 cores so if this is in budget I would probably go with this.

For your price range imho you could build a really strong gaming pc:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($184.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock H81M-HDS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($49.99 @ Micro Center)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($76.50 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.91 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 280 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($199.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($44.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: LG UH12NS30 Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer ($34.99 @ Newegg)

At that resolution you could basically get away with anything. Once you go up to 1080p or beyond things get a bit stickier though.

I *really* like the suggestions above though. Especially the case.

For $1k you get a stronger r9 290, SSD and better parts altogether:

I'm actually fine with that build, but I'm not so sure about the mobo though.

Now we are cooking with napalm :) I do prefer the Corsair case though, but this is actually a really sexy PC for the price.

I would absolutely get a bigger HDD though, since even a terabyte gets filled up so fast these days.

All great choices. I tend to like Corsair stuff (always nicely understated except for the Carbide Air which is still sexy as hell) and generally great quality.

Zalman is good too.

Stay away from Antec :|.

For just $40 more you could buy a Z97 mobo. MSI Z97 PC MATE is good for any future upgrade.
