I have reinstalled win8.1 on a Lenovo Flex15 with SSD hybrid drive (500gb hdd + 8gb SSD), which previously ran Ubuntu 14.04. In easeus i am facing an issue regarding a 7,79 GB partition with a filesystem described as "other". Due to the file size I presume it is using up the SSD? I am in doubt as to whether or not to add the space to the windows partition. Is it safe? BTW, there are also like 2 different 1mb partitions with unallocated space. Unfortunately, I can't see what is on the ssd and what is on the HDD. Help is much appreciated!

Solution
The SSD portion of Seagates Hybrid drives are used only for caching. The user or OS has no direct control over what the drive decides to cache in their besides launching the file repeatedly to force it in their. It will not show up in disk management.

No, i just deleted the Windows partition and installed Ubuntu instead. Now i did the opposite, and are left with 1 mb unallocated space at the beginning and end of the HDD, as well as 7,79 GB of unused space. In UEFI it says that I have 2 Ubuntu partitions, but I guess the smartest thing would be to leave it alone, as it is just ocd-like tendencies that makes me want to overwrite the unallocated space :)
