GTX 660 Ti vs GTX 750 Ti

My cousin has recently built a new pc. He has a gtx 750 ti and a 4th generation core i5, and everything else is basically the same or similar. As an example, on minecraft, with maximum settings, he gets around 500 fps on a server, however I have gtx 660 ti with i5 3470 and I thought it was supposed to be better and it is more money and stuff but I only get about 150 fps so is mine broken or something or is his graphics card better and stuff

They are praticallly the same, but my preference would be the GTX 750Ti basically coz its newer. It may just be to do with the amount of people on the server. His CPU is slightly better, but again not by much. Do you have an FPS limiter on or smoehting?
