Today I was doing my usual thing playing some arma 2 and the Computer restarted to blue screen, never got a good enough look at the code, restarted and loaded up my game again, 10 minutes later computer totally crashed and restarted itself before it restarted I seen the corsair link program has stopped working along with a few other things.

I checked for signs of an overheat as my PC overclock has been stable for the best part of 1 year now. My h100i hoses were very hot to touch (the radiator felt cool) so I thought maybe I had a faulty h100i pump

I swapped the usb header for the water cooler over to make sure it was not a faulty motherboard header and went into bios and reset everything to deafult and booted the PC up.

The h100i seems to be functioning normally, was getting norm idle temps and in game was at about the 60-65 C mark (this is on default settings with no overclock)

So I went back into bios and put my 4.5ghz overclock back on and booted it up, looked at my idle temps and something is seriously wrong, just web browsing and stuff the temp will fluctuate from 45-70 C http://i.imgur.com/ch3a30d.jpg

I have taken 2 screenshots since the CPU I am assuming overheated

Default Settings at Idle looks like this (for almost the last year this is what my 4.5Ghz Overclock would look like at idle up until an hour ago - http://i.imgur.com/FGflgSl.jpg

4.5GHZ overclock back on at idle - http://i.imgur.com/ch3a30d.jpg

System
i7 3770k
H100i cpu cooler
evga 780 ti
8gb Corsair vengance
Asus P8z77 deluxe
256gb ssd
2tb hdd
1th evo ssd
850w corsair psu
windows 7

System has had a stable 4.5ghz overclock for almost a year now, normal load temps for the hottest core were usually 79-80 C, at idle with this overclock I was normally at 33-40 C (much like the picture above I took 30 minutes ago with the overclock taken off.

After the overheat/crash I have put setting back to default, been in game for 20 minutes and browsing the web and everything seems to be working fine, when I put the overclock back on the PC starts acting very different

Edit: Pretty sure the h100i pump is not cycling water properly, despite corair link saying the pump rpm is normal level, hoses are hot to the touch but radiator is cool to the touch and my temps are higher than normal, almost seems like I have an overclock at default settings now, and temps are just ridiculous when I put the overclock back on

Hey, my vcore has been set at 1.280 manually for around 10 months with the 4.5ghz overlclock, about an hour ago I am guessing I had a severe overheat and the system shut its self down, maybe my h100i pump stopped working or something has went wrong inside the cpu or motherboard, Im not sure what has happened.

Bios has been set back to default and system seems fine, when I put the overclock back on Im getting very high idle temps and the cpu seems to be under some load despite nothing running in processes

In the screenshot you have provided, the Vcore is way to high for idle. It should automatically scale down when not being stressed. This is the reason for your high temps at idle.
See if there is anything in the BIOS you have missed. :)

I dont have the vcore static, the computer normally throttles the voltage back at 5% load, I will try the overclock again and see if I have missed anything

Well here is idle with overclock, perhaps I never left the system running long enough the first time, but my cpu temps are now higher than normal at idle with the overclock since the crash/overheat an hour ago, Im actully kinda scared to try put it under any load now with this overclock.
