Hello all,

I'm looking for workstation build for C4D with an absolute max budget of $2400. I've built gaming computers before, but i know rendering is different because of the reliance on the CPU. I've seen lots of builds with dual CPU options, so i just don't know the right way to go within my budget.

Any thoughts on builds that will get me the best render times?

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: This week/month

Budget Range: $2400 max

System Usage from Most to Least Important: C4D rendering/After Effects/Premiere

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes - Windows 7 64bit preferred

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing)

Location: Central Florida

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to upgrade to Intel CPU)

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Most likely no

Your Monitor Resolution: 1080p

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: iMac too slow on render times

Here's my take on the build.
