Last year my buddy's mom got a new laptop that came with windows 8. She did not like the start menu being gone. I googled the problem and found a program that installed the explorer from windows 7 using the installation CD. The program then allowed the computer user to switch back and forth between the 2 versions of the explorer.

A year later and I've finally got my first windows 8 laptop. I forgot to save the program and google is not finding it. Can someone help me find it?

Windows explorer, not internet explorer. I did manage to find a post about copying files from the win 7 installation CD and then installing some patch, but the program I found was even better as it did everything for you ad even let you switch between the 2 versions.

I'm not "trying to", I've done it and seen it work just fine. Someone built a program that reads the windows 7 installation CD and installs the necessary files. THe program then allows you to switch between win 7 explorer. and win 8 explorer. the program worked fine as I've used it on several machines. Unfortunatly, I can't find the program at the moment and it's driving me nuts. I was hoping someone knew where to find it or at least the name of it.
