Hello-

Just as a heads up I've never built any kind of PC before and I have never posted on this site. I apologize if this is being posted in the wrong section or if I come off like a dummy.

I'd like to keep it at or under $500 if possible, and with room to upgrade some parts in the future when funds allow. I've basically never played games on a PC before (except worms world party!) and would like to be able to play Skyrim and Ultra Street Fighter 4.

I have a keyboard/mouse and my friend said i could have his old monitor. I think I can get Windows 8.1 from my work for a little under $80 if that's a good deal.

Any advice from you guys would be great!

Thank You

an advice for you
try to buy the latest processor the fouth generation if intel or the fx6300 if amd
if you wann do programming, video editing and stuff..get the i3 4130
if only or mostly gaming then amd fx 6300 that can be overclocked upto 4.1ghz maybe more which is quiet enough ..for anyone + it has 6 cores which dosent matter much unless its gaming because intel processors have better per core architecture that means each core delivers more equivalent to having more cores. fx6300 has 6 cores.
for the graphics, the brand dosent matter much.
get the one u find cheapest and make sure it says gtx 750ti if u wanna buy nvidia else r9 270x if u wanna buy an amd card.
it dosent matter if u have an amd processor and get an amd card, wont give you anything extra.
processor and gpu are totally different.
i personally would preffer the gtx 750ti
rest is upto you get whichever accesories you want . motherboard dosent affect the performance much nor cabinet or stuff. get a psu(power supply unit) of atleast 550w that'll help and ram 8gb or more. 4 would work fine but upgrade in future.
Remember the amd processor requires a motherboard that says am3+ socket cuz the fx6300 processor needs the am3+ socket and not intel processors... they have h37, h86etc.
hope this covers almost everything.
pick this as the solution... will help a lot =)

Alright First of all you're comparing apples to Bananas , The GTX 750 ti is on par with the R7 260X and the R7 265 beats it comfortably , second of all there's no RAM in your build. Moreover Motherboards differ as some cheap motherboards won't allow you to Overclock and will fail if you try.

750Ti Vs R9 270X , The 270X will crush the 750ti
Hey have a look : The only reason somebody would get the 750 ti is to consume less power , performance wise it will run most games at 1080p low-medium settings while the 270X will have no problems running games at 1080p with higher FPS. 2nd Thing , Don't argue when you don't have a valid point please :)
