Hello,
I'm interested in connecting my newly acquired PS4 to my desktop's secondary monitor. I would like to be able to switch my secondary monitor from my PC to the device and back again if that is at all possible, all while maintaining my primary monitor's connection to my PC and without having to fiddle with cables/connections to switch between devices.
If possible, what would be the best solution?
My monitors are 27" Samsung LEDs. It has one HDMI and one VGA port. They are both currently connected to my GTX 680 via HDMI to DVI cables. (HDMI's into monitors)
I have looked into getting an HDMI switch, but I'm not quite sure how that would work. Would my graphics card continue to detect a two monitor setup when the device is in action, or will it switch to thinking only one monitor is hooked up? Would it harm my graphics card in any way switching back and forth?
Thank you for your time.
