Would it be possible to have two montors running at the same time doing different things? Also if it is what upgrades would i need to make sure my pc runs smooth and safe such as not overheating etc.? If not then what upgrades would i need anyway for two monitorss having say a video playing on one and a game on another just as an example.

You should get a 212 EVO cooler, it's about the same cost and better.

What games you are playing will greatly affect how good your performance will be on two 1080p monitors.

Yes you can run multiple programs on different monitors, but you need a better graphics card to run a modern game across two monitors. Movies are not that big of a deal, but if you wanted to run Crysis 3 on two monitors at the same time you would want a high end GPU, if not two GPUs in sli.

P.S. - the rest of your build should be fine for a dual monitor setup, but a better GPU will really help.

Thanks i was thinking the same wuth the gpu. So i guess my next question would be to get 1better gpu or an extra gpu of the same one i have in my build? Also i probably wont be running a game on 2 monitors. More like skyrim on 1 and a video on the other for my son if he wants to watch cartoons and stuff lol.

You don't play games on two monitors, you need an odd number, as there will be a big black bar in the center of the screen.

You can run 2 monitors on a potato as long as it supports it. If you play games on 1 monitor you will not lose performance when using 2 monitors, with one doing other tasks. I do this all the time, which other stuff running on my second monitor and my games running on the main monitor.

Well for Skyrim you don't need a heavy duty GPU. If you are just gaming on 1 1080p monitor a 280x or GTX 770 should be fine. Those will both play games on high/ultra. If you need ultra/ultra on the latest games you might want to look at a R9 290 or better.

I have a GTX 770 on a single 1080p monitor and I'm very happy with it.
