Unfortunately flash sucks on linux.

Steps you can do to make your experience better:
1) enable the html5 player on youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/html5
2) use google chrome (the official chrome, not chromium). It is the only offically supported flash on linux.
3) force gpu acceleration in chrome.

4) optionally use minitube instead to bypass flash. (really the best option)

yes sir, my first thought was to use html5. i ll try again the minty one with chrome later and the 3rd option right after.
Thank you very much

This anemic CPU, combined with even more anemic "GPU", will choke on hi-def video whatever OS, browser, flash/html5 you will put on it.

Hi,
for some time I used my Lubuntu remaster running from SDHC card on my Eee 901 which is even older and weaker than your netbook. It was much better usable and significantly quicker than the installed XP. I think I also tried Youtube and it worked - although in some really low resolution :-)

Youtube also worked for me on an really old desktop with P4 and 1GB RAM - poor quality but worked somehow. So it should work. But I recommend to use linux installed on usb stick rather than live usb.

yes it super weird that it works on a old desktop but not on a 2gb ram 1.3 hyper threaded notebook
I ve tried
mint with mozilla 20fps not wachable/chrome barely with and without gpu acceleration / html5 for some reason laggs even harder/
i ll try this test with lubuntu. thanks for your support :D

Hi guys, i ve found a linux distro, bento precise with modified video drivers for exactly 1101ha but the wifi didn t worked
then i ve searched for my netbook on the internet for selling prices, and asked around if they played youtube
some of them had windows 7 home premium, installed 7 starter and opera, pretty good playback on low
updated it to day but the new video drivers were wack on playback and rolled them back...i ll try to find some windows fixex
