Hello folks, i'm currently looking to upgrade from the stock cooler that my fx 8350 is currently using, i don't want a really high performance liquid cooler or anything just something that's cheap ($20-$30) and a good improvement over stock.

Any and all help is much appreciated!

The Hyper 212 Plus/Evo/X (whichever is the cheapest) from Cooler Master should do.

Do you plan on leaving the FX-8350 at stock speeds?

I installed this one on a system with an overclock (4.1 Ghz) Phenom II X4 980 BE. It worked quite well. Best part about it is the built in AMD clip (something you rarely see anymore). Makes installing it a couple of minutes affair. Has a rubberized fan house too so no rattles. Its says Logisys, but its actually the Deep Cool brand.

I did catch it on sale though = $24.

I used the stock cooler with my AMD for a long time. If you do not plan to overclock stick with the stock cooler. You could even upgrade the paste to get a bit more out of it. The below cooler is a good option.
