So this is my build > http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/v6cQcf

The motherboard that I am taking is not listed on partpicker but I will be taking the asus z97.

I will be using the build for playing and recording games at the highest settings as well as livestreaming at high to the highest settings as well. My budget is £500 but I will be getting all the parts for cheaper than you will see them on the partpicker site.

Anyway i have told you what motherboard I have but I would in a perfect world prefer a cheaper motherboard that I can still do a little overclocking with but I want something that is also future proof.

After someone does (if you can anyway) give me another good motherboard that is cheaper I will start buying today. I am literally ready to buy everything right now so I don't want to be buying something that I will regret buying.

Solution
You just swap them , sometimes you'll need to remove the thermal paste and add some new one and in worst case scenario you'll need a fresh install of OS but nothing hardware based. Its all good ;)

I originally had the i5 4690k but for the (what really does look like a) 5% increase in performance I feel like it isn't worth the extra £10-£20 whereas I could just save that money for a steam sale. The temperature is the only main improvement but that is only really by 5 degrees celcius so I don't feel like it's worth it. But then I am taking it that I shouldn't go for a cheaper motherboard? I will not do much OCing because I do not how and I will probably be scared to since I do not have an aftermarket CPU fan so even then it IS risky.

Anyway are you sure that I should stick with my current MOBO because it is quite pricey and even saving a tenner is a win to me.

If you won't OC then you might save yourself a few Pounds and buy the I5 4690 Processor which is cheaper and as reliable as the 4690K . I'd recommend that you stick with your pricey mobo to save you the headache later on and maybe upgrade later .

That actually sounds pretty good but I have read that when changing the MOBO it is a huge headache because you lose things like the OS. Would I be losing anything or just go through a hard time if I change my mind later on and upgrade from a 4690 to a say 4790k in the future?

Alright but if I do change my CPU is it over just by swapping the old one out for the new one and no other things I have to do. No data lost no faults...

Alright then thank you so much for all of your advice and I have started buying now with my new build thanks to your great help :) http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Entrt4inment/saved/T9WzK8

I'll just buy any no name RAM and I don't care about an optical drive right now as for OS I can get that free. Thank you so much and have a nice day!

EDIT: Oh and I have taken the EVGA 500B 500W 80+ BRONZE PC Power Supply. It is not listed on partpicker but I will save a tenner with this too
