There is a spark in my PSU every time I boot up my PC. Is it because I unplugged it one time?

I believe this has been happening ever since I accidentally unplugged my PSU from the surge protector it was plugged into while it was on. I believe it sparked when that happened, too.

Every time I turn on my PC, a single white spark is visible from the inside of my PSU. This has happened before without me noticing, so I continued to use my computer, and miraculously the rest of the parts seem to be working just fine. Temps are regular, performance is exceptional. Upon further examination, none of the parts appear to be burnt or otherwise damaged.

However, I'm sure this isn't a good thing either; I've detached the PSU from the rest of my PC and put it away.

I guess what I'm wondering is this: it needs to be replaced, right? Is it likely that the PSU was faulty to begin with, and that I might be entitled to a replacement/repair? It's still under the 1-month warranty/return period at the moment.

It just doesn't seem reasonable to me that it might have broken in response to being unplugged one time. I've heard/read all about people ruining their hard drives and stuff, but I haven't heard about anyone breaking their PSU in this way.

The PSU in question is a Rosewill Capstone 650. Here's the entire part list if you find that to be relevant: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/flossoraptor/saved/f79tt6

Return it! That's really dangerous. It's not your fault it's happening, one interrupted power incident should not cause these issues. Try and ask for a different brand PSU to be sent to you, such as Seasonic, XFX or EVGA B2 or G2. If not, a replacement of the same PSU should be fine.
Best of luck! :)
