Hey guys, I have a weird problem. My graphics card memory clock seems to always be fluctuating and I don't know if this is normal or not. I have tried a few things to try to solve this but I've got nothing. I also notice that when playing some games i notice the Core Clock and Memory Clock drop and go right back up. When this happens i get fps drops in game for a second. I have no clue why this is happening. Is my card faulty?

P.S. I have an MSI R7 260X 2GBOCV1 paired with a Corsair CX500 PSU. Let me know if you guys need more info. Thanks in advance!

Well I've tried the MSI AB power limit thing and that did not work for me. When i mean fluctuating i mean like every second it moves from 150 MHz to 1500 MHz. And this is just when on the web or skype or something similar. While gaming (at least for some games) I get fps drops and I noticed it was when the memory clock dipped down to 150 MHz for just a second and goes back up. That out of the way, I have drivers already installed and I know sometimes trying to install another driver it overrides previous, thus not getting max performance. ow do I uninstall the old ones?

thanks for the explanation. I know exactly what you are referring to as I have had the same issue before

here are all the links for what to do.

I would uninstall MSI afterburner then restart you rig.

this is the uninstall instructions (you can also download the newest drivers and then just choose uninstall instead of install)

this is where you can get the newest drivers

remember to do a restart after every step
