Hi, First Post!

I just acquired two of these chassis with all the mounting hardware and am having problems identifying what these are exactly, if i can get parts, if they are worth anything, and if there is any market for them still. They were ripped out of an older commercial building, two of them are brand new in box. Check the photos to what they look like. Thank You!

These look like almost any telco shelf you will find. The value is not the shelf it is the cards that would go into this. I would bet this is part of a old wired PBX system.

As to market value Nokia has been dumping business units for many years so who knows what they still sell.

The key problem with selling anything like this is vendors rig it so there is little market for used equipment. They rig it so that if you want to be able to afford software updates you must carry maintenance contracts on the hardware and to carry maintenance contracts on the hardware you must purchase it though a authorized distributor. There is a lot of counterfeit product on the market...not that I could see a shelf being a issue but this is one of...

That model is not even acknowledged on the Nokia website.

Basic info:
A line card shelf is disclosed. The line card shelf includes groups of line card receptacle connectors. Each receptacle connector has electrical contacts receiving corresponding line card contacts. Each group of receptacle connectors is coupled to at least two external connectors that terminate an inside or outside wiring cable bundle. Each receptacle in each group is connected to each external connector of the receptacle's group by a two-conductor signal path between a pair of electrical contacts in the receptacle and a unique pair of external electrical contacts in the external connector.

So basically "the invention features a system for the separation of wire pair transmission signals"

Couldn't find much more info. The patent is 15 years old.

This makes selling anything like this very hard. You will have to sell it to a smaller company that can't afford the service contracts in the first place but that also means they do not have the money to pay you a lot for the part either.

If it is made of aluminum maybe you could get some value otherwise I suspect it is dumpster decoration.
