Hello there everyone, I have a very annoying issue that I would like to share with you all.
First off let me list my specs: i7 4770k @3.5ghz, ASROCK extreme 4 z87, 8gb ram, 7770 hd radeon 1gb. I am also using Windows 8.1 64 bit
My problem is that i bought a new mouse (corsair raptor lm2) I plug it in to the mobo and wait for the driver to download. For the first half-hour it was working perfectly fine, then all of a sudden the mouse doesnt respond to my hand movement. My previous USB mouse was working good but was too small for my hand so I had to upgrade. Anyways I tried to resolve the issue myself by trying different 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports, delete previous drivers and re-installing it however when I did reinstall the driver it was working for only 2 minutes. Also the mouse works in the UEFI setup utility and in the log in screen. The red LED light at the bottom also turns off. This is getting so frustrating. Please help.

The unknown USB device error also comes up.

Check to see if the mouse is a usb 2.0 or 3.0 device.
If 3.0, or 2.0 you should of used the usb 3.0 root hub or chip set driver and installed it on windows via the driver provided with the mobo and a usb 2.0 driver found on the mobo disk.

Or simply get the brand name of the board and model no and download the driver from Asrock support web page.
In your bios make sure Usb 2.0 support is enabled along with 3.0.
And detect Usb legacy devices.

Save settings, before exiting the bios.
See if any of it helps.
