How's it going fellow Tom's? School is starting, and I'm looking to upgrade my gaming rig. Specifically here are the components that I will be upgrading.

PCPartPicker List

That being said, I just wanted to make sure everything seemed fit. I'm planning on just upgrading my current build which is home to

Rosewill Challenger:
Rosewill Case

Thermaltake 700W PSU:
Thermaltake PSU

Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM:
Cosair RAM

My current CPU is an AMD Athlon X2 640 Processor and it is bottle-necking my performance to the point where I am having to upgrade. My case is getting old (front USB Ports become unresponsive etc). Will my new upgrades be fit in the new case I am going to buy? Also, someone told me to buy an aftermarket cooler for that CPU, but I'm not looking to overclock the new CPU, unless you guys would recommend it. The case is a good fit for everything?

Other thoughts:
I am so excited for this upgrade, it's been a while since I've done some computer builds. And am hoping you guys will help, just as you always have :)

Solution
The Gigabyte is not a bad board but I suggest an ASUS m5a97 r2.0 mobo.. It will give better OC/xfire performance..
Other than that you are good to go

When I'm transferring everything to a new motherboard, as far as the HDD goes, I don't have to do any compatibility things right? Just literally plug in the SATA etc and it'll be the exact same bootup etc?

Real quick! There's a deal on Newegg, which combo is better? The mobo/cpu combo on my Partpicker list? Or this newegg deal?
