Hi guys, sorry if this is not the place to ask such quesitons, but tomshardware is the only place i know that hardware pros come to from allover the world. I need help from United Arab Emirates people. Im helping my friend in Dubai to build a pc, but as he is really busy the whole day at work we have to order PC components online.

So i basically found 3 online shops:
gear-up.me
dtcae.com
dubaigamers.net.

We both have no idea which one to use! dtcae.com is cheaper then the stores, but......... there are strange things going on there. First of all, u register there (pretty much legit), u login, and thats it, u cant access your acount (gives an error). The tech support guy told me that i dont need to access my account. They have free delivery in one day in dubai and cash on delivery, which is great. Now, another weird thing is that intel i7 4770 and i7 4790 have the same price there. Is that normal? the difference could be 10$, but there is none. Overall if its not a fake then its a perfect website. Its just that free one day delivery + cash on delivery + very cheap sounds like free cheese in a mousetrap. Any dubai citizen had any experience with them?

The other 2 sites look fine, gear-up.me is a liiiiiitle bit expensive but the 4770 price=4790 price.

dubaigamers.net is the cheapes, they dont have 4790, only the K version and they have 2 strange 4770s at different prices` 1195 AED and 1199 AED. what the hell?

can anyone tell me which site has the best rep? which one wont send me a fake intel i8 5830 made in "chuna"? which website's gear wont blow up in a month? btw if you could advice me a cheap good store at dubai (prices not anymore expensive then at these websites), ill be eternally greatful. thx a lot in advance.

I'd go for the 4790 it's slightly better than 4770 I presume you won't do any overclocking in that heat. Regarding the buy/delivery issues I don't know what to say "gear-up.me" seems legit. In some est-european countries this cash on delivery is well known. Give it a try you have nothing to lose

i know that 4790 is better then 4770... and i found a complaint against gear-up.me. the guy had a broken cpu delivered and he didnt get his money back, though it was the only thing i could find. Maybe this is not obvious enough but i have something to lose: the money my friend is gonna pay

I know what you mean well what I would do, is find a pc shop and order from them, at least if the product is damaged I'll return it. Sorry I couldn't help you more. You never know whats behind those websites and how good is the RMA service

You are right, i cant be 100% sure especially with online stores, so just in case if noone can help me or if online purchase isnt the right choice for us, can you maybe suggest a fine pcparts store in Dubai? I know there are different stores in Dubai, i bought my smartphone from DubaiMall for some 580$ and then found the same phone at the "bazar"(local market) for 500$ and both phones were made in Taiwan, not China. Any suggestions?

I found this links for a proper pc shop website it looks much better http://www.asbis-saudi.com/ or
try google Golden Lion Technology Dubai. Try contact them by email even if your not buying from them just to recommend you some local pc shops
