I will be getting a 4th gen i5 4760k, a GTX 780 and 8GB of ram. I was wondering if a 600w psu will be enough?

Yes it will be fine if you overclock.

For a PSU rated silver and above (gold, platinum), yes - below silver, getting 700-750W would be more prudent.

The bigger question would be quality: a 600W Diablotek and other tier-5 brands is not going to fare anywhere as good as anything from Antec and most other well-known PSU brands that fill tiers 1-3.

A good quality 600+W psu would be fine eg Seasonic M12II 620, XFX 650 or Antec HCG 620M

Teapo caps are not that bad for light-medium-duty PSUs.

Unless OP plans to start mining, the PSU is not going to see more than ~300W load very often.

The CX , VS , CXM , CSM , RM are poor power supplies that have poor capacitors.

Corsair AX , AXi , and HX are decent .
