i cant run windows 7 x64 but my system is 64 bit capable

i run windows 7 32bit because every time i have tried 64 bit didnt install. However, my cpu and motherboard is capable, WHY? please help me because i want to insall win 8 64bit

MY computer:
ASUS P5QC
Intel Q6600
Ram 2G

Wait, Have you tried to install windows 8 x64 or only windows 7?

You need to be more precise as to what message does it give you when you try to install the 64Bit OS on the rig.

Ok . I have my doubts about that Mobo being able to run even 64Bit Win 7.
The Manufacturer very clearly states on page 113 of the User Manual, that
" 4.1 Installing an OS
This motherboard supports Windows XP/64-Bit XP/ Vista Operating systems."

Not even Vista 64Bit......
