PC won't boot. PSU fan spins briefly

Hello,

I recently (about 1 week ago) built my gaming PC and everything worked fine until today.

My PC suddenly crashed and it won't boot anymore. The only thing that works is the PSU fan, which spins for a short time. The LED does not work either.

It can't be overheating since my PC has reached way higher temperatures before.

Does anybody know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance,

MrMichelxD

Whats the specs off your system because it might be possible that your psu is dead because it wasn't good enough to power the system. That may explain why the fan comes on on the psu for a little bit.

Well that psu should be enough for that system. Maybe try to start the pc without the gpu installed just to see if it boots if it doesn't do a thing then you can try not boooting it useing the start button but useing the motherboard (i had that problem once that the power button was hanging and made it impossible to boot the pc) if nothing helps then i would guess that either the psu or motherboard is dead.

You get no display? If you have a speaker on the motherboard, take out all the RAM and try to start the machine, if it beeps the board is probably OK. You generally have to unplug things one at a time to figure out your culprit, if you have onboard video that helps.

Booting without gpu changed nothing. Still just the PSU fan briefly spins. Are you guys sure a part of my pc is broken and if so, if there's a way to prevent that from happening again? I don't want to replace parts every week :/

well you can try as suggested by kawininjazx to use a little speaker that is directly connected to the motherboard to try and listen for beep codes that will tell you what is wrong then. If you didn't get it with your motherboard or case you can go and buy oen for as less as 1€. That is the only thing i can do now for you.
