Hey everybody,
I'm thinking about getting a new processor and I might need your help. Right now my computer is running on an i3 dual core 3.2 GHz (sorry don't know exactly which one, lost the wrapping).
My other specs :
Graphics card: Asus gtx 660ti direct CU 2gb
Ram: 16gb ram
Storage: 120gb ssd + 2TB WD
Motherboard: Asus P8 Z77-V LX

My computer is doing pretty well in gaming except in extreme gaming like bf4. With medium settings I get around 35 frames which still seems a bit laggy to me so I use low settings. Now I thought about getting a new processor which would also probably speed up booting time, rendering time of images and videos (sometimes I use my computer for Photoshop and video editing). So now I searched for a few processors and found that the fx8350 seems to be pretttty good and it's incredibly affordable. But I'd have to get a new motherboard too so that raises the price tag to 300$. Do you think it's worth the upgrade?
Thanks!

It's a good CPU but 300 dollars is alot. You might as well get a i7 3770K for your mobo.

An i7-3770k will trample over an 8350 any day. By all means, get the 3770k.

The 3570k or 3770k are your better options.

Chiming in here, agree with the core i5 suggestions as they really hit the sweet spot between power/affordability. It'll be significantly more powerful than your i3, while being at least equal to the FX8320 and you won't have to switch your motherboard around to dink with it.
