Go!

Emphasis is on best longterm performance at 1440p.

The 2500$ is for the PC itself. Not including screens, peripherals etc.

I also have a strong emphasis on cooling since I live in a *very* hot part of Japan.

Please be as specific as possible. Just trying to compare some of my current ideas with yours.

You can't!

Technology will change. In fact, DDR4 and a new CPU architecture is coming out soon. You can only do your best to build a system that will get decent performance for about five years before you feel the need to replace it so you can get the features of the new technology that will release in that time frame.

Fair enough.

I live in Japan, so I can get most stuff but I do run into issues when it comes to aftermarket parts.

All components included for the PC itself. I already have screens and peripherals. Thanks, will update OP.

Is 8GB ram really sufficient for a ton of multitasking over 2 screens while I game?

Would it be worth it to step those 780s up to a pair of 780tis?

Interesting call on that mobo, I was looking at far pricier stuff.

Would you recommend a water cooler on the CPU? It gets *hot* where I live and want to keep the inside of the case as cool as possible.

Haha I know. Future proofing is such a moving target :|.

My GTX580 lasted me almost 5 years but really starting to see it's limitations now that I've gone up to 1440p.

I am almost definitely going to update by the end of the year. 5 years is about my goal.
