I really need help with fan & CPU liquid cooler placement within my H440 Case.
Here are the case's cooling specs:
Front: 2x 140/3x120mm
Top: 2x 140/3x120mm
Rear: 1x 140/120mm

The Kraken X61 CPU closed loop liquid cooler uses 2 x 140mm fans.
I'm not sure which of the following options to choose:

  • [Option 1] 3 x Corsair 120mm Fans in Front, 2 x 140 slot up top used by the Kraken X61 closed radiator (will replace these stock 140's with the Corsair AF 140's from my PCPartPicker), and finally 1 x 140 rear Corsair AF 140 fan.

  • [Option 2] 4 x 140mm fans in front (push pull with the Kraken radiator -- all 4 fans Corsair AF140's), 2 x 140mm AF140 up top, 1 x 140mm AF140 rear.

  • [Option 3] Your best solution.

I plan to SLI the GTX 780 Ti in 3-4 months so cooling is a big problem im worried about and would rather get it all settled now rather than scramble later on.

All the corsair fans I will be using are the Quiet Edition ones.
Looking forward to your feedback.

I HIGHLY recommend NOT getting the H440. I used my h105 in that case for a bit, until my CPU temps were at 61 degrees (ridiculously high for for an h105 and NO there was not issue on installing the cooler as I didn't even remove the cooler from the motherboard when I moved my components into the case). on my non overclocked 8350 due to the horrible design of the top. Do not use an intake with the radiator and fans was there is so little benefit (a degree or two). All it really does, is throw hot air into the case and warm up the GPU, and everything else.

Get a fractal design define R4 as these issues won't exist with that case. By the way, the H440 isn't even that quiet.

Hello man

Honorable

Do PUSH/PULL, and mount the cooler on the top fan blowholes. Remember, it should pull air into the case. Now if might not fit in the top on the case using push/pull. In that case, move it to the front of the case and pull air in, still doing push pull.

Also the AF140 fans will be horrible for a radiator such as the x61 as they have a really low static pressure rating. The stock fans with the cooler are just fine.
