Found a monitor that looks good, but is quite cheap. Anything wrong with it that I'm overlooking?

The model is a AOC M2870VHE, I can't find much information about it in English, but most specifications can be found here:

http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/402481/aoc-m2870vhe-zwar... (I'll translate anything if needed)

Can anyone tell me why this monitor is so cheap compared to other 28 inch monitors? Will it be any good for gaming?

Its will be OKAY for gaming. It has a 75Hz refresh rate which is good and a 5ms response time. some people may find this to slow but it should be fine.

Hope this helps :)

I have another short question; with the monitor comes a free VGA and DVI-D cable.. I can buy a HDMI cable with it for 14 euro. Would HDMI be better than VGA or DVI-D?

i cant see a reason why it shoud be bad!

28'' 1080p MVA panel 5ms D-Sub / DVI-D / HDMI

these specs are enough for gaming. make sure though it is brand new and comes with a warranty policy!

Haha, I can't find any reason either. And yes, it's brand new and comes with 3 year warranty!

go for it then and there isnt a reason to buy an hdmi cable . DVI-D will be more than enough

DVI-D will do you fine so no need for HDMI.

Hope this helps :)
