Hi,
I had a PC back home in like 2010 with an ati 4800. It had an e5200 wolfdale, a cheapo Asus motherboard and 2 gigs of ddr2 ram. It played all games at a semi HD resolution really well. I left for college and it caught dust.
Till now.
Well its back now, and I had invested a lot in the cabby, the CPU cooler and the 700w PSU.
It's hard drive is fried and the GPU doesn't work anymore.
I want to know if I can get it to work with the least amount of money. I'll have to buy a GPU, HDD, and maybe ddr2 ram.
In my experience from back then, the only thing that mattered was the GPU while gaming.
Can you tell me if I should invest in this old architechture for gaming now?
Will new games run on such an old processor?
Also, if I am investing in a GPU, which is the current equivalent to the 4800, I loved it to death.
Please tell me the cheapest solutions possible, I am a student and won't be able to afford anything above what is required.
Thanks.
