Do I need a new CPU?

Hello I have good computer I was wondering do I need to upgrade my computer CPU. I have a gtx 660, my CPU is AMD A-Series A10-5700 Processor (3.4 GHz) and I have 24 gb of ram 8x2 and 4x2 thanks for all the help!

Your CPU is about as good you can get in that platform so really no unless you upgrade the platform. You should fine as is though.

Well you have plenty of RAM lol!

You would get better performance with a better CPU. Look at the Athlon 860k which should be released soon, should work in your motherboard but you might need to update the bios first. Otherwise the current gen 760k is a good upgrade.

You only need a new CPU if you are running into performance issues with what you already have. If you are generally happy with what you have, you can simply wait until better upgrade options become available or cheaper.

If you are running into performance issues in games, you could use a GPU load monitor to see how close to maxing out your GPU you are when that happens. If both the CPU and GPU "bottleneck" about as much, then upgrading one without the other may not improve things by much. If you choose to upgrade only one component from there, at least you will not be shocked that your upgrade failed to yield the expected benefits.
