I've had my desktop for a few months now, and have just decided to purchase a second monitor, but after setting it up, I notice severe decrease in game performance, very bad lags (nothing to do with graphics settings on the game, lower or higher it gives off the same level of lag).
I never had this problem with a single monitor.
I've read it's to do with my graphics card, but I have a NVIDIA GTX 770 and presumed this should have no issue handling dual monitors, but I know my CPU is below par, an AMD FX-4350, and wondered if this could be part of the problem.
I have checked all my monitor's setings in my graphics card panel, they are at the same refresh rate etc, and are even the exact same brand of monitor.
I presume it is nothing to do with a faulty monitor either, as I used it as a dual monitor with my old laptop and never experienced this issue, it has only started with my desktop, I believe both my monitors are linked to my graphics card and run off it.
I guess it could be an issue with one of the cables? I'd hope not and there's a more easy fix, so if anyone has any suggestions, it'd be much appreciated.
