I have highest repect for this community and always rely here when I have computer related concerns, but I can't find the answer to my simple problem this time. So I decided to finally sign up so I could ask it myself.
I'm eyeing for GA-H97M-Gaming 3 for my micro build but there's a thing that keeps me from doing so. In the Expasion Slot Specs, the 2nd PCI Express x16 slot (PCIEX4) says that it shares bandwidth with the PCIEX1_2 slot.The PCIEX1_2 slot will become unavailable when a PCIe x4 expansion card is installed. So I'm wondering if this is the case only for this board or is it the same for all due to a natural limitation or something I really don't know.
The thing is I do need both slots but if this is the case, I might need to find an alternative.
