I was reading online about surround and it said I need SLI support on my motherboard, but didn't exactly tell me whether I need two cards or not. I read that the 600 series can do it by themselves. How about 750 ti? I don't have enough to buy two cards right now, but my MoBo is Crossfire compatible. Can I do surround on one card?
NVidia surround is not related to SLI at all. You can do it with any single card that supports it, and the 750 Ti does.
If you are just looking for a multi-monitor desktop, that will definitely work. If you intend to game on a surround setup, then the 750 Ti alone won't be able to provide playable framerates at a dual-screen resolution. In that case you would probably have to look at something more powerful, such as a GTX 770 or at least a GTX 760. Evidently, AMD equivalent cards will achieve the same results, maybe for a little less money.
