I got a good deal on two EVGA GTX 580s which have a length of 26.67cm (10.5in.).

I'm trying to find out if they'll both fit in the Corsair Carbide 300r case for a 2-way SLI. Anyone know?

Yes it will fit. 10.5" is a common card size and many others have done two way sli/ crossfire with the same case as you.

I am curious how much you pay for the pair. 5 series is old. maybe the money you are paying can be spent better?

I got them both for $150. Collectively I mean. So two of them for roughly half the price of one. I bought them from a friend of a friend who was going to build a couple PCs with them for other people, but both backed out and he got stuck with two new GTX 580s.
