Are these inexpensive Windows 7 COA legit?

I see some cheap codes of activation for Windows 7 64 bit Professional online going for 70$ and I'm kind of questioning it. They have more good than bad reviews but some people claiming fraud and one guy claimed his code was invalid after 4 weeks. I'm going to be building a PC and not sure if I should risk this. Any advice? Also know of any legit Windows 7 distributors that you can link me to?

  1. sounds like they need to be reported to Microsoft and for $25 more you can just buy a legal copy from newegg
  2. Cheap Windows activation codes have almost always been obtained illegally.

You can purchase it for $119.99 (after $20 rebate) at TigerDirect: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5213934
After searching a few sites the prices seem to vary only slightly from $135 to $140.

Thanks for the link. Do you think its worth picking up that copy over a 60$ copy? Both are OEM. I contacted Microsoft and asked them if the online codes were legit from sites and they said they were. Although I didn't give them any specific sites to look at.
  8. if Microsoft says there good there good ,but having a hard copy on the disk I feel is better in the long run if something comes up and you need to reinstall or repair
