There are 2 types of broadband-
DSL based
Cable/Fiber Optics based.

Tell me ASAP please what type of device i need to buy, also possible then share the Link with me soon please.

Solution
What you will find is there are router that have a DSL port and a ethernet WAN ports. Those routers can be connected directly to DSL or connected via ethernet to a modem that in turn connects to cable or fiber. I have not see any routers that would contain for example a DSL and docsis3 cable modem and most fiber to the house installs need a special device. I don't think I have seen any consumer routers you that will directly attach to the special form of fiber a ISP users to peoples house.

I would go to tplink site and look though. Their mid priced units have this feature. There are so many options in routers that you need to decide which other feature in addition to the ethernet wan and DSL you want. They are all under the DSL section you just have to read the feature description to see the ones that have it.

I suspect others have this but have not been in the market for DSL for a while so I don't keep up with all the models.

Hi Bill,

can you let me know how that works ? For e.g. I have an ADSL modem + router combo that has one LAN port and WiFi. I changed to cable which has a LAN output (but no WiFi). I want to use the old modem as a WiFi router with my cable modem, how would I set it up to work like that ?

Cable Modem LAN port ---> DSL Modem LAN port --> Wifi router (+ DSL Modem ) --> PCs,laptops etc

You need a very special DSL modem that has both a dsl and a WAN ethernet port. You will see a port on the back marked WAN. If this port does not exist it is not possible to use a DSL modem as a router. A example of a router that has a wan port and dsl is TP-LINK TD-W8980

There are other but I have not had a dsl connection in many years and do not stay current on exact model numbers.
