I was wondering, I know there are many tablets out there and 99% of them are windows 8. Is there any chance you can find ones with 7 or vista? Can you install 7 on a new tablet? I'm new with tablets.

It is possible to downgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 7, but on a tablet, it may be trouble. For one thing, a tablet does not have a disk drive at all, so a Windows 7 CD could not work. If you managed to download it from Microsoft.com and manage to downgrade, Windows 7 is not as optimized for touch screens and tablets as Windows 8. So all in all I am not fully sure, but Windows 8 is really not all that bad. Do you have Windows RT or Windows 8? (Windows RT does not include desktop mode).

I have neither as I do not have a tablet. Aren't there tablets that come with 7 already?

If you are getting a windows tablet stick with windows 8, it is designed for touch and I foresee you running into a lot of compatibility issues if you try and go from 8 to 7 on a tablet. Save your self the heartache and accept 8 or stick with a laptop.
