Hey, this is my first time assembling my own pc (which i'm going to use for gaming and some work), so i need help from the best ;) .
I tried to educate myself on the matter for the last week or so and came up with a list of parts. Here are the components i chose for a budget of around 650 € and my concerns on each :

CPU : Intel core i5 - 4670 3.40GHZ. I chose it over a 4670k mostly because of my budget (also i found one with a small price reduction) furthemore, i don't plan on overclocking since i cant really afford the cooling it needs, and over an AMD cpu for the latter reason (since apparently they tend to heat up), plus in general, people seem to agree that Intel's are better all around cpus.

GPU: Sapphire R9 280 3GB Boost. (Found a good deal). My concerns are : 1)since it's factory oc, whether it will demand an oc'ed cpu or not 2) if the PSU i chose is enough for it. (Even though i researched it and it seems to suffice, i'd like a second opinion)

PSU : XFX TS SERIES 550W 80+Bronze. I'd like to know if this is, in fact, a rebranded Pro Core Series made by Seasonic, which i've seen recommend quite often on this forum (since it's new, there aren't many reviews) and in general if this will be able to handle the load.

RAM : Skill RIPJAWSX 2X4GB DDR3-1600MHZ ( CL9 ). Good enough?

HDD : WD Caviar Blue WD10EZEX 1ΤB HDD 3.5. Seems to be the best for this price point.

I'm going to use my old cd/dvd optical drive.

This is what i managed to amass:
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/tlex/saved/WD2WGX (note: i counldn't find a "Boost" edition")
The thing is though, that i can't actually buy from those vendors, the prices don't coincide either. I reached a sum of 590 €.

This is where i'm really torn. I need a suggestion for a cheap mobo (around 50-60€) and a case (as cheap and as good as possible for this setup). Since i don't plan on ocing the cpu, the best choise would have been an h87/h97, but they exceed my limit. Also was it wise to chop down from these particular parts for my needs or should i cut somewhere else?

Many thanks in advance. Any general ideas/notes are welcome. Sorry for the long post.

P.S : These are some of the sites that i can buy from in order of preference (Greece) :

ok so new graphics cards never need an OC CPU. Even 780ti setups can go with a non OC cpu.

Look at the MSI H81M-P33 its only 43 usd here.

NZXT Source 210 is 35 usd on amazon

its okk if u are not comfortable with oc but the cooling doesn't cost u much just just 30$ for a hyper 212 evo and u can reach 4.5 clock speed with it no problem ......
the gpu and the psu i would say both are wise choices hence you are not going to oc 550 watt psu would be enough for the built....
the ram and the hdd are just fine .........................over all u have a very good build :)

Ok thnx good to know about the GPU. The case isnt availiable here, and it's not worth ordering overseas (i looked it up before). Most common manufacturers providing budget cases here are Coolermaster, Corsair, Bitfenix, some Silverstones, low end Thermaltake and Zalman, w/o excluding other possibilities (other just have way smaller selection). I looked up some motherboards that are in the price range i'm looking for, if some1 could help me choose. Here you can compare them :

i know the amount for a cooling system is not astronomical, it's just that i'm already over what i planned to be my budget, it's easy to get carried away when you see the small differences in every part separatly, i needed to discipline myself many a time while building it xD. Also it's not just the cooling as extra change that i needed to take in consideration, it's the difference in price of the CPU itself (as i mentioned, i found a small sale, so the difference became bigger between the 4670 and it's K counterpart).
Why are the HDD and RAM just ok (for their price point?).Should i have gone with corsair vengeance?

sorry i have not noticed the case and the mobo ......... so for the mobo....http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-h81prob...

and for the case http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-cc9011051ww

So i checked the case, and wow...the difference is quite big here (20 €). I'd rather put those to a better motherboard. The mobo you linked seems ok but still quite pricy, and only 15€ difference between it and the cheapest h87. I'll need to sleep on that.
