my rig:
MBO:ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0
CPU:AMD FX-Series X8 8320
CPUFan:Artic freezer 13pro with Artic MX-4 paste
RAM:DDR3 (2x4GB) Kingston, 1866MHz HyperX Fury
GPU:AMD Radeon HD 6950 1GB DDR5
CASE:Zalman Z9 U3
PSU:FORTRON 550W Raider
SSD:KINGSTON SV300S37A120GB
Bios:newest(had to upgrade it)
Case is opened at the moment, room temp is 25-26°C
Bios settings:

MBO temp is always between 29-32°C

my configuration is 7 days old. 3 days ago I wanted to OC the CPU,and got stuck on the temperature issuse's.
Programs used to monitor temp and stress: HWMonitor ,AI Suite II ,Aida64 ,Prime95
Tried removing the fan numerous times, didnt lower the temp.Tried the stock fan, even worse results.
so,this is the story:
If set on default settings, core temp IDLE ~40°C ,Vcore is ~1.39 .At full load temp goes over 60°C(and rising) and Vcore to 1.4x something.

So,I tried some manual work. This is slight overclocked. IDLE is ~ 38-40°C
multiplier 17.5
cpu bus frequency 215
Vcore set to 1.29
CPU/NB Voltage is 1.25V(as sugested in some guide I read)
3767Mhz
Cpu Configuration (HPC mode is disabled here) and Digi+power control are same as in pictures 3 and 4

Run prime95.It took about 40 mins to get to 63°C .15 mins to 60°C,then ~every 10 minutes 1°C .
It was stable while I ran the test, but my screen froze while I was writing this thread, and had to restart my PC.

Tried Vcore 1.28 with 3.7Ghz,was getting Bsod and crashes

If set Vcore 1.28V with 3.5Ghz and CPU/NB Voltage is 1.25V ,temperature is still going over 60°C

And I have some small mbo issuse:
Sometime I get random warning that I have unplugged Audio device(example, headphones) and I didnt, cause im using the USB port with my Logitech G430 headset.
Also, sometime's warrning appears that my CPU fan speed is lower then 365 RPM (vaule that is set to AI Suite) .Sometime's I get error in POST screen about error with the CPU fan, like its not connected or 0 RPM,and it stoppes there(need to restart my PC). Fan at that time is connected and spinning.

hope you understand. If anyone need more data, just write it here. Thanks for help. And English is not my mother language,so im sorry for any mistakes.

That is a fairly small heatsink for a 125W chip that you are overclocking and one I am not that familiar with. Most people start with the Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 and work their way up from there.

Might start your research here:

Power supply appears to be a bargain version of a better designed Gold rated supply. Seems to pass most benchmarks, but I wouldn't trust it.

I hope you got a good deal on the HD6950 missed out on a lot of the new features from the 7000 series and the newer R9/R7 series.
