hey guys thanks for reading my thread,
so ive finally recieved my motherboard from newegg and its the z87 g45 msi mobo. so on the mobo there is a dragon engraved heatsink which is the lighter corner of the board and on the opposite is the heavier side of the board. so as stupid as i am, i lifted the mobo by the heat sink (lighter side) and the heaver side weighed the opposing side of the board down which led to sounding like i cracked my mobo. it sounded like tiny crack like as if you try to bend your phone and it sounds like your stretching it or something. so yea i heard a tiny crack and was wondering if i broke my mother board or not??? and how do i check whether or not i did without having to rebuild the whole computer?? has ayone done what ive done? is it common??

The only ways to check are to visually inspect and see if there's any visible damage. After that, you'll have to power it up and put it through it's paces and see if it operates correctly. I'd recommend doing this on a bench (on top of the box it came in works) before installing it in your case. Might save some time and energy if it turns out to be damaged.
