I5 vs I7 For Streaming

I am about to build a new computer and want to know if It will be a tangible difference between a I5 4690k vs a I7 4790K when it comes to streaming live gameplay on twitch.

No, not a single difference. The processor is probably the least important component in terms of streaming videos. More important is that you have a reliable Internet connection and a graphics processing unit that can play videos (trust me you'll be able to). The processor does not really play a big role in streaming and displaying videos from online.

The i7 will stream better, as it has hyperthreading, and the CPU is more important than the GPU, but as long as you have a strong internet connection, streaming will be seamless on both processors

If you are using your video cards abilities like with the AMD Game DVR thing or NVidia Shadowplay then the CPU you choose has very little effect on the video stream. If you are using a CPU based encoder though you probably want to go with the i7 to ensure it has the least amount of impact on your game while encoding.

But then in turn does terribly at most games in comparison, and should only be considered if your budget doesn't allow for the i5 or i7.

I would not say terrible. But yes, the Intels do have higher consistent FPS compared to the AMD.

BUT if you are streaming ALOT and can not afford an I7, then the 8350 is a viable option.

EDIT : And YES I am suggesting that the 8350 will perform BETTER than an I5 if you are streaming. In some cases it even trumps the I7.(Although those cases are rare)
