Hi,
I recently built a new computer, being completely new to the whole "bottleneck" scene as my old build had an i3 540 and a HD 5450. I'm bottlenecked and can't get a better CPU because I'm on the FM2+ socket. Any help?
Here are my specs:
OS: Windows 7 HP 64bit
Motherboard: ASUS A78M-E
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce R9 280X 3GB
CPU: AMD A10 7700K @ 4.1GHz
PSU: Corsair VS650 W
RAM: 8GB (2 4GB Mushkin Radioactive 1600MHz
Hard Drive: Western Digital 1TB HDD 7200RPM

-NEED NEW MOTHERBOARD AND CPU- My budget is 200-300, I'm low on money thanks to the build, so any help would be appreciated!

Solution
Minimum would be fx 6300 + gigabyte 970a ud3p.

I5 + H97 (if nonoverclocking) or i5 + z97 (if overclocking).

I5 4460/4590 + ASRock H97M pro4. <<< my suggestion.

Sorry if you mis-understood me, I meant I need a new motherboard and CPU, I already have the build above including the 280X, I need just the mobo and CPU, thanks :)

no i can believe it the fm2+ socket cpu's suck they all do he has the highest end model and its like a weak i3.

the r9 290x is one of the best gpu on the market of course it could do that but this cpu lacks and holds back compared to intel.

FACT:

My DDR3 has lower latency than the L3 cache on FX-CPUs.
