Apologies for the long post.

My PC has recently had severe issues, freezing and outputting slowed/looped sound on a regular basis. While it's mainly happening during gaming/video playback, it has occurred at other times. Most of the time this requires a hard reset, although occasionally it'll "recover" after about 10-15 seconds. While initially very infrequent, it now happens a few times a day if in regular use.

The reason I believe this is linked to my PSU is that the freezes first started occuring about 5-6 months ago when I moved house. After setting up my PC I had a freeze similar to the ones I get regularly now, and my PC would not reboot. I discovered that the green power LED was off on my motherboard, and that the culprit was the 24-pin connector, and the cables needed wiggled/reseated to sort the issue.

Since then, any major move of my PC usually requires the same process done to the 24-pin connector, which leads me to believe that there's an issue with the PSU, as both issues started at the exact same time, after moving house.

Does this sound like it could reasonably be an issue with the PSU or the PSU's 24-pin cables? I don't know anyone nearby with a spare PSU, so I'm wanting to get some opinions before I splash out on a new one.

Edit: Should have mentioned, my PSU is a OCZ Modxstream Pro 700w, and its about 3 years old (as is my Motherboard. CPU. GPU...)

Possibly also worth mentioning: I've had issues switching the PC on, it'll turn on for a few seconds than power itself down. It's only happened twice about a month ago, so I'm unsure if it's related to the above problems.
