My build is going to be running Ubuntu in the console window with an underclocked CPU. It will be used as a web server. There are 2 fans that come with the case. Do I need more? It will be an always-on computer.
Yes, if it's always on, more heat will be generated, maybe 1 or 2 more? But see the temps with just your stock fans for a day or 2, you'll know if you need more
well it depends how powerful are those fans, what components, and where the fans are. if the fans are placed in the back and front and thier only a cpu it should be okay. if theres more components or thier not in a good config get more fans.
It depends on the size of the case being used. A larger case like my 300r runs quite well with 2 intake and 2 exhaust (Its 3 exhaust, rad and case fan)
Smaller cases get plenty of flow from one intake one exhaust, more fans simply mean more noise.
i dont think you'll need more fans unless you feel its running hot,
Okay, thanks! I will monitor the heat at first and see how it goes. Don't forget I am running Ubuntu console, not PC gaming guys. Also, it will not be on a carpet.

Those types of cases have abysmal airflow to begin with, more fans would just blow air around rather than out of the case. Sometimes less is more with fans.
