Specifications:
CPU: AMD FX-8120 @ 3.1 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
# of fans: 4 (including CPU heatsink fan)

Should I overclock my processor? If so, to how much? The only thing I don't know is how many watts my PSU is. Does that even matter?

I think it's 500W but I'm not sure, what I do know is that it's not more than 750W.

There's no right answer, this is more of an opinionated thread, but all input is appreciated.

Shitty ass motherboard, it's the MSI 760GM-P34 (FX), and the PSU I really don't know, how could I figure that out?
I don't know the brand, nor its wattage. Anyway, thanks for replying. I'm trying to run the dolphin emulator on my rig and it still lags on some games, although that's probably an indication of bad programming emulation than it is of my rig itself. I'm able to play PC Games very well, but when it comes down to emulation, some are good some are bad.

Donkey Kong Returns on the dolphin emulator runs at like 40 FPS with decent settings. So, having said all that, that's the reason I was considering overclocking it, to see if it would make my emulation gaming faster.

Hey, what if I was to buy a new PSU with like 1000W? Or do you just think the mobo sucks and it wouldn't matter? So long as I have this mobo, I shouldn't overclock the processor?
